Amazing stay. We stayed for a group event and everyone loved the atmosphere! The staff were incredibly helpful and the food was amazing! Also catered really well for gluten free guests. The property is quiet. The room is large and comfortable. We enjoyed the sports ground and facilities. The food tastes nice. The location is great, 10 mins to the beach. To improve, the swimming pool is cold in October. If there's a heated swimming pool, children will be more enjoyed to stay and we will definitely come back. It would be better if the food could have a wider range of varieties.

Did not like the music by the pool at night until 1030pm because it interfered with our sleep. Could you find another location? Breakfast was a wide selection and very tasty,but the hot choices were barely warm. Had to use the microwave to heat up. Staff very pleasant.Rooms spacious and clean.

Family holiday with light training included :)

I have just returned from an 8 night stay in the Victoria Sports & Beach Hotel with my wife and baby daughter. We were all made feel very welcome in the hotel. All the staff were friendly and were particularly attentive to our baby. The restaurant staff were particularly friendly at breakfast and dinner. The availability of the running track, gym and nearby trails meant that I could get in some nice running on our family holiday. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable. A baby cot was set up and ready for us on arrival, free of charge.

Excellent Hotel, just don’t go All Inclusive

Hotel was very nice, great area & excellent facilities to make the most of during the stay, however for a 4 star hotel I was very disappointed with the “All Inclusive” option as the food was pretty poor. Same food 2 days running as options, overly salted & cooked which wasn’t great. We ended up not eating in the hotel our last night as we actually wanted something that was filling & to be honest edible. Staff were friendly & helpful, it wasn’t very busy so the activities were generally just me & my friend partaking but the events host Joao was excellent. Location is great, it was just a shame that the local shops across the road from the gym were shut for Christmas & the nearest shop (that was open) was about a 20-30 min walk. Apartment itself was nice & spacious although it was meant to be a double bed & 2 singles we somehow ended up with 2 singles (right beside each other) & a single sofa bed.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! If I could give it 10 Stars I would. Location is perfect to walk on down to the "most beautiful beach in Europe"...Praia da Falésia. It's less than 10 minutes. The hotel itself was wonderful in that the room we had was huge with a wonderful view overlooking the pool and a large patio. Room was clean and well equipped. Finally...Service. Anna who checked us in was PHENOMENAL! She was SO nice. Helped us check-in early. Offered us a higher floor room if we wanted. (we were fine with what we got.) She was extremely helpful in booking us a boat ride trip to the Bengali caves, including a transfer trip. If we could have stayed longer we would have. Also, the breakfast buffet was awesome. They had an extremely wide variety of offerings. We recommend this hotel in every way. "Check it out and Check-in"

I liked the sports facilities, I thought they were first class for a hotel. The hotel has saw better days unfortunately, quite run down and lack basics such as ironing board, proper hairdryer, Wi-Fi was terrible in our second room. We moved due to a terrible smell coming from the kitchen sink, which we had to put up with for 3 days. The reception staff were fantastic and didn't make us feel like a nuisance when we complained about the smell. They were very helpful with our airport transfer pickup and made us a breakfast box as our flight was earlier and we left before the breakfast area opened. The apartment/rooms were a decent size, with bedroom, lounge area, bathroom and kitchen. (No microwave). There was very little to do locally outside the hotel, a couple of restaurants, a sports bar and we felt it was very far from the main resort areas. A small (old flatscreen) TV in the apartment with only Portuguese channels (mostly) was our night time entertainment when we got back. Take your table and watch Netflix if you're staying in. The beach is lovely and very close, maybe a 10 minute walk, and the clifftop walks are fabulous. What spectacular views. We walked 15 to 20K every day. It might be good for families who enjoy the simpler holidays around the pool and on the beach, but not for us I'm afraid. Also, the hotel could try to provided a little more information on things to do within a reasonable travel distance, such a historic sites etc.

We had an excellent stay from start to finish. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was of a very high standard with plenty of choice we only ate out once all week. The football pitch, running track, and gym were fantastic for our family, and there was also plenty of entertainment around the pool. The only small drawback was drinks being served in plastic cups; while understandable for safety, it would be nice to have an area with proper glasses. Overall, a brilliant stay and we will definitely return.
