"The staff were wonderful: they cheerfully accommodated our wish to access our room early. Everyone was kind and helpful. The rooms were spotless, the bed extremely comfortable. The location is perfect: the Thaxter is in the heart of the old port city and you are surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, good restaurants and interesting shops. We will gladly stay there again."

"Parking was easy. Beds comfortable. Rooms and hotel outdated and a bit worn. The rooms seemed clean enough but I got my own cleaner and washed room down. Don't get me wrong decent enough room. If you decide to take an Uber in town or around I met a top notch great driver who dresses in a suite, pleasant demeanor, plays a little classical music: His name is Derrick and his direct cell is: 1-603-338-1145. "The hot tub was definitely hot. This is the first hotel that truly had a heated swimming pool. It was perfect. The breakfast was delicious. Everything was nice and clean and organized. The hotel itself was nice and clean and professional. The surroundings areas were under construction around the hotel.So that was unpleasant visually. Not the hotel's fault.It was the areas around him that was doing construction"
