"The bungalow experience was so unique. It made you feel like you weren’t in a hotel, but truly in a hut in the rainforest. We had monkeys right outside our bungalow in the trees. The location was very close to La Fortuna and getting an uber was so convenient."

"The room are out dated . We had an activity every day but at night when we wanted to watch. Tv there are only 20 channels. And half blurry.. no apps to connect. And WiFi only works near the lobby or cafe. Everything from spa . Food and snacks were overpriced. A can of soda $5 . At the spa i paid $82 I had bugs on me every 2 mins. I couldn’t relax. The massage it was weak I ask 4 times to apply pressure but since the oil they use was very thick and slippery the masseuse kept sliding her hands. Also can burn 3 times with the rocks . We looked for other spa and found one for $35 I wouldn’t come here again and recommend to check out other hotels ."

"Would recommend to anyone and everyone. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the whole property was well maintained, beautiful, and so peaceful. The villa was clean and the view from the balcony was so serene. The highlight was the complementary breakfast. Just 2 minutes down the road is a restaurant called the Gecko, that provided our complementary breakfast through the hotel. The owner, Scott, and his colleague, Charlie, were so incredibly kind and attentive. The food was delicious, and they had different options every day. They have a dog sanctuary/rescue on their property, and we got to play with so many sweet animals. We even booked a cooking class with Scott, which was so incredible. La Fortuna waterfall is also a 30 second drive from the property, which is super convenient. I can’t recommend this place enough."

"Tifakara was an absolute dream. We wanted a boutique hotel that was integrated into the jungle and that's exactly what we got! The property is gorgeous, with winding paved paths through the jungle to get to each room. We visited the onsite frog sanctuary each night to hear the 100s of frogs (and try to spot just a few!). The included breakfast was top-notch, with fresh coconuts for coconut water, a gourmet coffee machine, a la carte options like eggs benedict, avocado toast, etc, and the best part was getting to enjoy it in the gorgeous pool area while listening to the many birds. The staff were very attentive and communicated often by WhatsApp to check in about our stay and make sure they were meeting our needs. The rooms are small but very tidy, clean, and well-kept, and the outdoor shower deserves special mention: showering under the trees with the sounds of the jungle all around was meditative and memorable. We would stay here again in a heartbeat."
