"Pool slide was dirty and not working. Pool area could have been cleaned/ power washed. All rugs needed a good vacuuming. Outdoor light shined directly into our room. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. Easy check in and out. Great location. Lots of food/shops/attractions close by."
"In town location and friendly, accommodating staff. This includes the GM, who is present and engaged. Rare these days.
Facilities generally fine, attention to detail would be helpful. Plenty of convenient free parking, most covered. Free coffee rather than standing in a queue would be nice, yet result in lost sales."
"Our stay at High Peaks what's great. Staff was helpful and pleasant. We had breakfast every morning at the Dancing Bear And it was delicious. We had dinner one night, and it was equally as good. The location is perfect for us, as we like to park the car and do mostly walking everywhere we go. It is maintained beautifully and very comfortable. Hands down will stay here again next year when we come back up!"
"I was heading into back surgery 2 days after our stay so me and the wife decided to just get away for an evening . My condition made it difficult to do anything really but the staff were there to place me in a closer room , closest to the pool plus parking in a special place. They went above and beyond. The beds could be upgraded a bit but overall a great experience"
"This latest trip was May 26-28 2026. Two adults no kids. Over the years I have stayed there multiple times. As with all mid level motels, they have had their good years and bad. This stay was very good. Clean and pleasant room, friendly and helpful staff. And a very competitive price which is important to me. On the first night when I was experiencing a sound problem in my room, I was immediately offered the room across the hall, and this was a particularly busy time for the motel. Bree, one of the managers, was professional but with a very personal touch. Though I had no need to use the included breakfast, outdoor pool or indoor hot tub, they were there if I needed them. I will most definitely stay there again. George P"
"The hotel location is perfect. Walkable distance to the Main Street and Olympic museum. Our room was old. Not properly cleaned. The coffee machine was also not properly cleaned, the sheets had stains on it. The staff was not so friendly."
