"Beautiful location/setting. Pool was nice at end of a long day. Staff were wonderful,we had an amazing evening enjoying a dinner and wine while taking in the view on our patio. Personal touch as only five guest rooms. Breakfast in morning was included and great way to start off the day"

"Stunning property, spacious rooms, very clean and comfortable. We were met by John who took excellent care of us but the other members of staff were just as helpful. The restaurant on site was not only convenient but served a tasty dinner and brekky. The weather was perfect and the pool highly enjoyable, overlooking tbe douro valley/river. I would recommend a bottle of wine while you're swimming. I would love to return here one day."

"What a beautiful family-run Casa! Old-world charm meets with comfort and convenience. The common areas are so inviting and interesting to browse. We looked forward to head over for breakfast and see what delights would be offered. Always well set up with an excellent variety. Our room was nice and large - very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom amenities (towel warmer, double sized shower with great water pressure, etc.). "

"This charming hotel punches way above its two-star rating, Lovely helpful and friendly staff, amazing breakfast, comfortable, scrupulously clean and thoughtfully-designed rooms offset the fact that the hotel backs onto the railway -- which is the only reason I can think of that the hotel hasn't earned another star. But in truth, there aren't that many trains (evenings are tranquil). An walk from the train station, the hotel is close to a number of good restaurants."
