"Hotel is in a good location, ample parking. It's a stately building fairly well maintained, though the elevator access on floor 1 is hindered by the carpeting that restricts the door from opening. Yes you have to manually open the door to access the 50 + year old elevator and make sure it doesnt swallow any body part when the door closes, very cool. The food in the attached restaurant/ pub was good, though the service was hindered by only 1 person doing everything, hotel check in and restaurant duties."

"An amazing, interesting house which you will love, especially if you have a sense of history, and enjoy staying in a place that is different from all the rest. Our room was clean, cosy and warm with a lovely view of the garden and of the countryside. The breakfast looked and tasted very good.
