Hotel Bel Ami

"It is a very modern, clean and well-maintained hotel. The lobby area including the bar is beautiful. Our room was spacious for a Paris hotel. The room was lacking drawer space though. They had a desk and a chair that, if used, blocked the closet. The desk didn't have any useful drawers. A small dresser there instead would have been better. The breakfast buffet also would have been better if it had more fresh fruit and more cereal options. The hotel's location is absolutely perfect for walking to many sites and restaurants. The staff were helpful and courteous. We would certainly stay there again."

"This is a small boutique hotel. It’s very eclectic and artfully decorated and is in a quiet location but close to activities and restaurants. Very nice breakfast and helpful staff. The rooms are small so if you travel with huge suitcases this is not the place for you. The bathrooms are nicely appointed but very small. Nicely air conditioned. Love the honesty bar."

"Room was adequate and comfortable for 2 travelers. The staff was generally friendly and somewhat helpful but not overly willing to offer assistance or recommendations. The cleaning staff was very kind and helpful and went above and beyond. We did not take purchase breakfast although did purchase coffee in the morning. The location was great. Around the corner from the Luxembourg Gardens and plenty of cafes just out the door. Metro line was within an easy walk."

"Our favorite part about our stay was that everyday at 3pm, coffee, tea, and cake were served in the lobby. It was delicious! The rooms were clean. However, we did notice there was black mold in our shower. The hotel seems to be a little older and one of the rooms was completely gutted and getting a makeover, so construction was going on. Overall, the staff was very nice. We had a good time."

"ROOM We got the Garden View Suite because our daughter was joining 4.0 stars us and we needed that extra bed. Our queen bed was upstairs in this 2-room suite. Both beds were good quality beds. The room had one major design problem. The only toilet was down the narrow, tricky stairs. These stairs did not have their own lights. So I had to either try to navigate the stairs in the dark and risk breaking my ankle or urinate in the upstairs shower. I chose the latter. Other than the toilet issue we liked how the room was very quiet. But the best part of the room was the outstanding AC. BREAKFAST The breakfast had a wonderful selection of crepes, breads, bacon, 4.7 meats and cheese. The only negative were the scrambled eggs, those were usually on the runny side. My wife loved that amazing coffee machine. HOTEL & LOCATION The hotel is located in the heart of the 6th arrondissement. 4.7 We were at least 15 – 30 minutes away on foot from any of the big tourist attractions. All the restaurants on our street were fabulous (no tourist traps anywhere). The hotel had a small, indoor pool which was great after a day of enduring the record heat. HOTEL STAFF The best part of this hotel is the staff. 5.0 stars We put a lot of requests on the staff at all hours and they were always met with a smile. I especially must compliment Dorian. He was dazzling. Dorian was especially good at making dinner reservations at the best restaurants for us."
