"The staff was absolutely amazing—friendly, helpful, and the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself left a lot to be desired. The rooms are very dated, and the chairs in our room were covered in dust. The room also felt extremely humid and uncomfortable; everything felt damp, and I felt sticky throughout the stay. Lighting was minimal, making the room feel even more outdated. To make matters worse, the fire alarm went off around midnight, and there was no explanation provided afterward. While the staff was great, the condition and comfort of the hotel would make me hesitant to stay here again."

"We enjoyed our stay here- the pros: room was clean, bed was comfy, check in/out was easy.We were given free drink tokens which we didn't end up using, but it was nice. Breakfast was available in the lobby, however a little pricey for what we were given. Cons: It was a little tricky getting what we needed from house keeping since the 2 we spoke to didn't speak English, but it was fine. Some of the valet guys Seemed less than enthusiastic about assisting us and the elevators in the parking garage smelled like pee, Im not sure if homeless people camp out there or whatever. Overall, despite those couple things we would stay here again. The location was great and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to."

"the room, bed and bathroom were clean. carpet on the hallway felt very dirty. In general, a lot of lower class young people stayed there, felt unsafe at times. Staff were barely above average helpful. the door man and security were not professional. Air conditioner leaking water, I put a bucket underneath so it won't flood the floor. bed was good and comfortable, bathroom clean and updated"

"The staff were very welcoming when we arrived. They were friendly, helpful, courteous, and professional. Our room was clean and housekeeping did a great job maintaining our room. The grounds felt very tropical and also well managed (no litter). Our beach view was wonderful. HH Prime restaurant on the property was very good especially the breakfast buffet. The hostess in the morning is a gem. She has a wonderful personality. The servers are great as well. The evening staff at the restaurant are very good too. All in all, we had a wonderful time and we will definitely be staying there again."

"Love the DeSoto! The staff is lovely. The rooms are clean and well taken care of. We always have a fun time at the hotel bar. Love the pool area. The hotel is in the perfect location for exploring downtown Savannah. If you like to exercise, the fitness room is lacking and machines are often broken, but other than that, the hotel is a 10/10!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Marriott River Hotel in Savannah. The facility was modern, clean, and the staff were so helpful. The toiletries are lovely too. Great shower, comfy beds, delicious breakfast at Blue. Loved the room service option after a long day. The location is at the east end of the historic district. Still walkable, but a further walk. I highly recommend this hotel. We will be back!"

"We booked this property at the last minute after another trip had to be abandoned due to flight cancellations. We weren't sure what to expect at the Sonesta as it was our first time. It surpassed all expectations. The property is conveniently located with easy beach and Shipyard community access. It offered a number of other amenities and never felt overly busy or mobbed, even in the pool and bar areas. The property is freshly renovated and the rooms are clean and spacious. Finally, the service was excellent. The staff took pride in ensuring our stay was a great experience. I would book again without hesitation."
