"Very pleased we chose this hotel. All staff were very polite and efficient. Could not find fault with the room or service and the free tea,coffee,cake, croissants in reception was very nice although personally I missed having a kettle in the room. Food availablity and quality good at the adjacent restaurant. "

"We loved our balcony room. The amenities are a great value and you cannot beat the location if you are staying in Ascona. We also loved the bar downstairs!"

"The check in was in the middle of the restaurant area and very hard to find. I stayed 4 nights and it was on the 3rd day I could walk into the right door and find the lift without too much trouble. There is no signage for the front door, no direction to the reception desk, and no tourist information. I would not recommend this as my choice to stay in Locarno."

"Stayed one night. Comfortable and easy access to the train station. There is a closet to store luggage if you arrive before check in. Breakfast was wonderful. "

"This is a wonderful hotel choice. Our view of the lake was beautiful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. It is located around shopping and restaurants. We felt very safe walking around the town and exploring. The staff was so kind and helpful. We will stay there again. Highly recommend."

"The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. We only stayed one night and had no complaints except that the bell tower was ringing once every hour through the night. Seems like this is not normal and due to some renovations happening. Overall, the hotel is very close to the waterfront, many restaurants and the views are beautiful."

"The room we had was sold as a Superior room, however the room was a bit dated but the view onto the lake made up for this. Location was superb, breakfast was good every morning and the pool was nice (although a bit cold for the kids in May) all in all a good trip and would probably stay here again"

"A bit difficult to find as it is in a pedestrianised zone and hotel parking is limited, but the place itself was very nice. Quote a distance from reception to our room in another part of the hotel, but we were right on the lake with lovely views. The room and bathroom were clean and adequate for our purposes (overnight stop). Breakfast was good, and we were lucky with the weather, so ate outside on the terrace. Plenty of restaurants in the area for evening meals."

"Just Wow! In a beautiful situation in the Alps. Staff so friendly and helpful. Rooms are quaint, not modern but comfortable. Restaurant food fabulous, great breakfast, we loved this hotel. Owner so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and stay again and deliberately head that direction if possible"
