Bed was average, but the pillow (as with most German hotels) was an awful, soft, giant square. No idea why these caught on. They offer no support to the head or neck. Staff were friendly. "Firstly, the staff are lovely and the building is a lovely looking building. No complaints there, nice and clean. But, it has a big problem. The hotel sits right on the train line heading into Düsseldorf. The passenger trains are fine, but the freight trains are the loudest thing on earth, and they pass right by the window, which you must have open, because there is no Air-conditioning. And they pass at whatever time of night they want. So 11pm, midnight, 3am 5am. Yes all of those, I did not...
