The decoration in the rooms were contemporary,however the rooms/bathrooms could do with a refurb,they looked very tired. The shower was very old school and the water wasn’t very hot. "I will commence by stating that this is not my first visit to The Mariner's. It is and will be my first choice for staying in Haverfordwest. So, clearly, i have stayed in a large number of their rooms. You have to know or remember that the building is historic having been in operation since 1625, so don't expext the rooms to be uniform in proportion. Having said that, they are generously sized with, for the most part, large and bright bathrooms. The room i had this time had the largest shower i have ever seen in any hotel. Simply stunning. The location of the hotel perfect being close to the town centre and the castle. The car park is also very good. You will enjoy really good breakfast options and i can recommend the hotel bar / restaurant for an evening meal. Not expensive either. The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful."
