"Taipei experienced largest earthquakes (over 5 richter scale since 25 years ago. The hotel elevators were inactivated and resume operations after inspection, which was completed the same day. It is incredibly efficient since there were lots of elevators in Taipei that needed to be re-inspected or repaired. Without elevators, staff inspected and cleaned the hotel rooms. "Great location for shops/malls and food venues (fast food, sit down, and grocery). Staff was very helpful and accommodating. English with the staff was no problem. We rented a windowed room but the only view you will see a wall and plants and the windows do not open to the outside. All rooms are the same in design, so paying extra for a room with a window is not recommended unless you just need to see sunlight during the day. Location was also very safe. "I stayed on the 6th floor and water leaked through ceiling and making the unit wet and stink. Staffs are very responsive and moved us to another hotel because the property was fully booked. They called taxi for us and reimburse the taxi fare to us. Since we left in rush, I left my jacket at the leaking unit. They even bring it back to us to the other hotel the next day. The Con is, there s no staff after 7pm to 10am. If something happen in between, you need to call to the other property...
