"Don’t be like us and ignore the odd bad review.... We arrived in our very small room....thenlocation was fine and only a short 15 minute walk across one of the bridges to get to the centre. Breakfast is not on site but only a 5 minute walk. So..the bad bits....a concern with this property is the stairs. They are stone, when wet they are slippery (following rain) and the handrail is partly obstructed by a large plant where the stairs curve right. My wife slipped on these steps and was injured...

"It was the best hotel I have ever stayed. Very luxurious and the staff all around were very courteous, helpful and very friendly. It was great that the cleaning staff comes by in the evening to ask if anything is needed. The wait staff that serves the complimentary breakfast is very helpful as well. The hotel is quite historic and had a lot of charm and beautiful artwork. "
