"We were looking for a quiet place to sleep within reasonable walking distance of Siena where we could prepare our own meals for a few days in between other adventures. The apartment was perfect, the staff were helpful and we were an easy stroll to a Coop where we could get our own food. The walk to town is about 15 minutes but pleasant and easy when you use the escalator from the train station. "La Terrassa is great! The location and view over Il Campo in Siena is simply spectacular. The welcome from host Viola is brilliant (so many hotels could learn from her skills and warmth). The Suite is huge, feels like your own apartment. Breakfast snacks and lots of drinks provided. Highly recommended! "

"Truly remarkable experience in an 800 year old castle. The grounds are beautiful and include olive trees on the farm. Great views. Quaint experience with the owners who run the castle as a bed and breakfast. Our suite easily accommodated our family of five. We are grateful for the intimate breakfast the following morning.
