"Stayed one night, arrived late. Hosts Jes and Eileen very friendly on arrival. We were rather tired and just stayed in. Jes cooked a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Enjoyed our brief stay. The other guests were great also. So a lively breakfast conversation was held. Would easily stay here again, a few days would give you a good break. We were pressured by time to head back home."

"This is a lovely era- hotel. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and the shared areas are great. Superb location - walking distance to great restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Parking is down the road but really no hassle but it’s only free if you book direct! The restaurant/bar was a bit of a let down. The staff are pleasant but not engaging and service is ok but could easily be improved. "

"The room (3) was clean and tidy, but fairly obviously still old and tired in some parts; bathroom been re-tiled? but vanity structure edge-flawed - No soap holder in shower - No shower curtain so water spread to slipperiness level - Fan switch did nothing - Two ceiling lights in lounge area did not turn on - impossible to contact anyone after six-ish in the evening, and very LATE start up next morning."
