I asked for a wheelchair accessible room while making my reservation. I was charged $172.88 for a one night stay.
I was given room 119. The problem I had was that the bathroom was not wheelchair accessible. I was traveling with a companion. I was not able to close the bathroom door because there was absolutely no room to do so. I could not even reach the shower because the toilet blocked access to the shower. So I was not able to shower at all. Wheelchair accessible room means that my wheelchair should be able to maneuver in all areas of the room. I was not able to because the bathroom was not made to deal with a wheelchair. I can only stand for a short burst to transfer or pull down clothes.
I was mislead by your establishment. I was assured that the room was wheelchair accessible and it wasn’t. When I travel that is the most important requirement. For my wheelchair to be able to have access to everything.
When I went to your staff and explained the situation I was told there was nothing they could and there were no other rooms available.
I paid for a room that was completely inadequate, useless to me, and inappropriate for myself and my disability. I paid for something that was of no help or benefit to me.
Stop advertising something you don’t have and can’t provide. You can rest assured I will not be going back again. Horrible stay.
