The property was beautiful, clean, well kept and in a great location. The service needs some improvement. We arrived very early after a cruise (around 10am) check in wasn’t until 4pm. We were told we would get a call when it was ready. At 3pm we saw others getting checked in. We asked for the 3rd time at 3:40 if our room was ready and they said oh yeah it’s been ready but we never got a call and we were waiting in the lobby. They didn’t bother to let us know it was ready even though we were obviously exhausted and waiting right in front of them. Finally got keys and went to the room and there were maintenance men fixing a leak in the sink. Had to wait even longer. The maintenance men did apologize and brought us a free bottle of wine for the inconvenience. The front desk staff could use some customer service training. Otherwise the property was great, the restaurant had good food, the room had nice upgrades, especially loved the shower.
