I misread the French menu and didn’t see that they didn’t have a main course option which I could choose as a pescatarian, and they made a last minute substitution perfectly. I would highly recommend anyone seeking a restful getaway to opt for Volando. Our only suggestion is if there could be a gym added (but the surroundings are perfect for hiking)! "

"I love this minshu as it has an elevator and I move my luggages up to 3 floors easily. The host is a lovely lady and the breakfast she prepared is nice. The only setback is they do not receive guests after 6 pm so we have to look for the keys to our rooms ourselves. Our quad room is spacious. However there is only one toilet and shower area (in the same room) so we have to share."

"This villa is on top of the Lala Mountains, the weather n scenery is superb. U can see the fog or clouds dancing on top of the mountains in the morning. We were served the aboriginal breakfast, something we have not taken before; quite interesting. Ooh.. there is no staff overnight, do remember to call them if u are checking in late. I think there go off off around 7pm. There is a 711 below ( not too far). "

"Like most places in Wulai, the price for this place was VERY overpriced. VERY expensive for what you get. The room is basic, but you get a hot spring's bathtub big enough for 3 adults to relax in. The breakfast was listed as a continental breakfast - they had typical Taiwanese breakfast food but also served scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and coffee. The only problem is the food is cold. They don't keep it hot for you, they just put it all in metal containers without any heater and customers...

Okay if you drive and enjoy rural peace
"What I liked: Very spacious, clean and quiet guesthouse! Very tastefully designed and the whole decor of the place was beautiful. There are lifts in the building too for you to use if you have heavy luggage. Also felt very safe as there was surveillance cameras inside and outside the building. Many lots for free self parking too. What I disliked: the area around the guesthouse is like farmland where it's surrounded by paddy fields. So it's very dark at night when driving back and makes the parking pretty challenging due to the darkness and tightness of the space. Also it's very inconvenient if you do not drive. I don't know how one would get to the guesthouse from the city area at night without taxis. They do not serve breakfast but they offer sachet drinks and light biscuits. However I felt that being a guesthouse they should minimally have a Microwave oven at the common area for guests. There are also no restaurants or convenient stores in the immediate vicinity. The nearest one requires you to walk about 10mins to get to it. "
