"We had a really excellent 5 day stay. Our room (3) was huge with 2 kingsize beds and a large sofa. Bathroom was also a good size. The breakfast was good with excellent friendly, prompt service. "Great place as a base for exploring the Borders. Overall stay was good. Room was exceptionally clean(had a couple of minor niggles but these were dealt with happily and swiftly). Stayed in a double which was quite small (with only one bedside table). Would 'upgrade' to a larger room if staying again. The best thing about this hotel is the people and the outstanding service they provide-nothing too much trouble and so friendly. Ooh- and good food including a fab breakfast. "

"On the night we were staying the hotel had to cope with a power cut covering quite a large area surrounding it. They dealt with it very well and served us all a perfectly acceptable menu of cold items. All the staff were positive and helpful and created a very friendly and fun atmosphere….well done to the whole team!"
