"The Old Chicago Inn was perfect for my partner and I. We wanted to stay in and near a few particular points of interest to us and this checked all the boxes. Wonderful staff that never hesitated to handle our out of towner issues. Not a traditional hotel many bedrooms do not have an in bedroom restroom which can be intimidating or embraced. Shared common areas that were truly shared and enabled me to meet a few other vacationers. For my partner and I this is better in many aspects. Things...

"This a bed and breakfast. New construction in an otherwise historic neighborhood but it blends in nicely. No elevator so expect to go up and down stairs. Breakfast is not freshly cooked but is an attractive buffet available over 2 hours with cereal, warmed pastries, boiled eggs, cheese, yogurt, berries etc. Rooms large with good sized bathrooms, tall ceilings, quiet. Street parking seemed to be easily available with permit. "

"Staying at a bed and breakfast is a lot different than your usual hotel stay. It’s more interactive and personal. The hosts at this place get it right. They are genuinely nice and interesting people whom I enjoyed hanging out with for awhile. The house was gorgeous and comfortable. I truly appreciated being able to stay here rather than at a big-box place. "

"I don't often leave reviews but this hotel is exceptional. The owner showed me to the room and explained all the facilities. The room itself was huge, beautifully clean and with the wonderful quirk of still resembling a school classroom. Some previous guests had even left messages on the blackboards. I made use of both the Jacuzzi and the separate shower, and enjoyed the cooked breakfast which was brought to my room in the morning. I didn't make use of the complimentary popcorn and DVD selection...

"This was the first time I've stayed at a Bed and Breakfast, and it was a positive experience. Our room (the Oak Park Suite) was spacious and comfortable, though the pillows on the bed were very flat. Parking was easy, the host/owner was hospitable, and it's an easy walk both to the Metra and to the shops of Oak Park."
