"The space itself was very iconic classic hawaii, which is very fun for a Waikiki experience. However the building and surroundings are less desirable. The local dive bar located in the lobby requires you to pass through it. We were harassed every time we left and entered the building having to negotiate through heavy drinking and smoking locals. This should have been noted for safety concerns. I had a drunk man try and push his way into the elevator behind me and no one stepped up to help. They...

"This was our second time staying at the Aston Waikiki Sunset. Our first time was great. This time we had my handicapped mother. We called the hotel beforehand to request a toilet seat extender and a shower chair. It took one and a half days for them to bring these items after I called housekeeping and the front desk repeatedly. They seemed not to care. We will not be staying here again."

"very nice and always helpful staff. Very clean and quiet. There is a pool and BBQ area, nice landscaping, fishponds.. Suites are updated, beds comfy. Nice balcony with table and chairs. We also had a small kitchen, which was perfect. Just behind the complex is the Ala Wai Canal and Boulevard- which is very walkable/ perfect for jogging..and within a 2 km walk from Hotel is the Library, a Safeway Store and the famous Leonard's Bakery. "
