"Staff were all lovely and could not do enough for you. Complimentary glass of their champagne on arrival was a lovely touch. Parking was on a very quiet street outside the hotel (effectively on-site). The continental breakfast was really good quality with option of having freshly cooked eggs if you wished. "I turned up a little late because Eurostar was delayed, but the hosts were very welcoming. I also had to leave early, before they woke but they were very kind and left some breakfast for me. I will stay again and enjoy the chateau more next time. Its a lovely place to stay and very safe if you have a car loaded full of things, as the court yard is walled with a gate."

Be prepared to spend time with strangers at pre meal drinks or at dinner. Charles the owner was lovely and hugely accommodating but may consider giving guests more a bit more space to enjoy his lovely home. "

"First time in Alsace, very impressed. The room is right in the centre of a beautiful town, lots of bars, restaurants on your doorstep. Lovely hike from the town up to St Ulrich Chateaux. Plenty of parking in nearby sidestreets overnight, but limited during the day. Wonderful breakfast, the lady who served us each day was very friendly and hospitable. A unique place to stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it and would happily stay again. "

"Fantastic location with friendly hosts! Our room was large, comfortable (with a fab view of the deer) and a large ensuite with bath and shower. The dinner was delicious - 3 courses - with wine and other drinks available if you wanted it. Breakfast included tasty home made goodies by Steph. This was a great chilled overnight stop."
