"Note: We stayed in early May, before peak season. We loved EVERYTHING about this hotel. The hotel itself, the staff, the breakfast. I have absolutely nothing bad to say. We asked for late checkout on our last day because we wanted to go for one last hike and then come back and shower, and it was not a problem at all. I imagine that would be different had it been peak season, so I'm glad we booked in the off season. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Bar Harbor. "

"This place is amazing! We were greeted by friendly and accommodating staff. The location is top notch. The breakfast was great, they even gave me a to go box to put food in for later as I didn’t dare eat before my lobster boat ride. They were so dang friendly and professional. A total resort feel. "This is a quaint combination of a motel and bed and breakfast in the heart of Bar Harbor. Parking is easy, staff was super friendly, and its walking distance to everything downtown."

"This property exceeded my expectations. Every aspect of my visit was wonderful. Check in and staff could not have been more helpful. The room was comfortable clean and updated. Breakfast had plenty of options, fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage, breads and more. Location was perfect with restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Walkable to all the bar harbor restaurants, bars and shopping."

"We were looking for one last trip together before the baby comes. The cottage at the Open Hearth Inn was perfect. A very comfortable, warm space with all the amenities we needed. While Acadia is not as close a walk as we thought it would be, it was a close drive. We are very happy we stayed there and hope to be returning some day with a bigger family. "
