"Staff members Nils and Susanna were wonderful. Nils assisted us with contacting our driver and arranging our Saturday pickup. Susana was very welcoming and helpful with information. The lady who cleaned the rooms was very helpful in changing our towels. One young lady with long blonde hair on the desk was a problem. I didn’t get her name. She answered “I don’t know” to every question, said she was unable to call our driver. Nils called him later. Worst, however, our driver arrived earlier than expected, but she refused to call our room to tell us. She told him we were asleep. My husband had already talked to her at the desk over an hour earlier. The driver had to wait with the meter running for over an hour until we came downstairs. This cost us A LOT OF MONEY."
"Very nice English-speaking staff, excellent breakfast with many good options. Room was comfortable and clean, and the lobby is delightful. Our room was 003, which we accessed by going out the back door and re-entering from the tiny parking courtyard."
"We really like this hotel, the breakfast was very good, good location good parking, taxis were cheap to go into Bruges, we are especially liked Bavo at front desk, his English was better then ours and very helpful and knowable, he made our stay perfect!! The only dislike for the hotel would be no air-conditioning, but they do have fans and it wasn’t that bad but it was a heat wave, the staff is so accommodating! We will definitely come back!"
Canal View Hotel Ter Brughe by CW Hotel Collection
10/10 Excellent
"We loved the hotel. The location was great, it was very clean, and the air conditioner was amazing.
The walls are thin, but I travel with a noise machine so it was never an issue for us.
As Americans, traveling in the summer in Europe can be difficult because of the ac differences. This ac was just like ours back home. Worth every penny for that alone."
"Right in the center of it all. Easy to walk to all sites, restaurants and shops. Very quiet, clean rooms, with large bathrooms.
AC worked great.
It is a longer walk from the train, if you have luggage take a taxi or a bus."
"Rooms are unique and decorated beautifully. Nice, crisp sheets. Great bathroom toiletries. WATER IN THE ROOM IS SO APPRECIATED - two bottles to carry around, plus a glass bottle each of still and sparkling. Location is wonderfully convenient - a few minutes walk to the square, but just a little bit removed so you don't hear noise all night.
Stay away from restaurants around the square unless its for a drink. Food quality is kind of average."
"Bathroom was a little on the older side and could be updated but the hotel staff and room itself were clean and comfortable. Appreciated the proximity to the bus and train station as it was very walkable. We paid for a room with a view that was very minimal and probably wasn’t needed in the end. Overall the stay was lovely."
"We stayed in a mansion suite which was amazing. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a delicious welcome box of Belgian chocolates waiting for us upon arrival. The buffet breakfast was incredible with options for every type of diet and a beautiful dining room. The spa was a lovely way to end the day. The location was ideal, quiet yet walkable distance to everything. I highly recommend this hotel for couples. It may be a little less appealing for a family due to the open shower which does not provide any option for privacy."
