A great vacation for relatively little money. The hotel is located on a natural island, so the reefs and corals were excellent. The staff is very polite and helpful. Overall, everything was great.
Stayed for 10 nights in the water villa, the island is a paradise where me and my wife found peace, quiet and relaxation, perfect honeymoon destination
The property was fantastic, very clean, great facilities and staff overall. The AC was not cooling as well as it should but after running a few hours if would cool the room well.
Our stay at Summer Island Maldives has been perfect. We appreciated the kindness of the workers, the facilities, the activities that were organised, the beauty of this island, the dishes and we highly recommend this place❤️
Food vas various and good quality. Beach is a dream. The service at the hotel. Free water and a fridge in the room. Great aircondition. Beachbeds and towels belong to each apartment.
Perfect for friends and couples.
The prices on the island is little bit too high.
I don't understand the people who give less than 4-star reviews to this holiday destination. They must be nitpickers who expect to have the conditions from One and Only Reethi Rah (the neighbouring island) at the prices from the Summer Island. Come on, you could stay there only one hour with the money you paid for two weeks at the Summer Island. All is more than reasonable at the Summer Island, I mean the location, the meals, the staff, snorkelling and diving opportunities.
I had the BEST time at the Summer Island Maldives. Everything was seamless from transfers to food. Absolutely perfect for solo travellers like myself.
I had a Superior Bungalow which was unreal and I was fortunate enough to get upgraded to a water bungalow which was a great experience! All staff were amazing and work so hard to keep the island looking pristine.
Food was great, I was half board and enjoyed every meal. Prices at the bar was reasonable too for lunch.
Only small feedback is for the shop to have more snacks but everything else was PERFECT!!
Everything about our stay here was just wonderful from beginning to end - if I could give the resort 10 stars I would.
The staff all were absolutely amazing - so friendly, always smiling, and nothing was too much trouble.
Go - just go!
My stay was great here, staff very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the sunset water villa with half board dining, I cannot give any negative feedback except things are extremely expensive if you’re not all inclusive.
If you want Crystal clear ocean, this is the place.
The team at Summer Island were absolutely wonderful, doing everything with a smile. This is the place for ultimate relaxation (enough activities for you not to be bored if that’s your preference or sit and stare at the beauty of the property). We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and didn’t want to leave!
I had a generally pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were comfortable. However, I was hoping for more dining options and activities on-site. Expanding these amenities would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
The staff are amazing. They were very accommodating without us having to ask they gave us a late checkout. They also did a happy honeymoon setup for us free of charge as well as a happy birthday setup a few days later without me asking which was a lovely gesture.
Summer island is my little piece of paradise. It was my third time there and I hope I can go back many more time! Everyone seems genuinely happy to see you there and to provide their best. From reception to restaurants and the transfer boat! Reception at the airport. The team is perfect! The island is fantastic and I am crazy about it!
We stayed in Water villa.
Water villa is good. Overall We are satisfied.
To say about restaurant,
there is a two restaurant, Samuga and Hiya, in this island.
We went to Samuga once, the meal is not that delicious. Therefore we went to Hiya every time.
Please note that only who stayed in Water villa can use Hiya without extra charge.

Piece of paradise
Amazing place, a piece of heaven. There is nothing here not to like. Charming staff who will give you the opportunity to think about nothing else but to immerse yourself in carefree everyday life. The rooms, services, food and of course the diving center deserve 5 stars. We were also pleasantly surprised by the not bad (for the Maldives) free internet on the island. A place we will definitely visit again.
We had a lovely stay. The staff was incredible every single one is very welcoming always smiling greeting responsive to every request we make. The food is great with great variety. It was really delicious. The room was great with the greatest view! Very clean and is cleaned two times a day. They are very organized and they plan your arrival and departure as your flights so you don't have to worry!!!! I recommend !! And I would definitely go back !!! Keep up the good work!
Simply A M A Z I N G. Everything during our 6 days stay has been perfect, everyone in the staff is kind, nice and polite, 24h/24 reception, free snorkeling every day, amazing sunsets drinking a cocktail sitting at the bar in the beach, watervillas with a beautiful view. We were a little bit afraid for the weather since it's not the best time of the year to go (we went in August) and we had only 5min of rain in 6 days. It's so hard to leave!! Thank you so much Summer Island Maldives, you made our holiday unforgettable, looking forward to come back again!
Overall, we had a great time and all staff members (with the exception of those at Front Desk) were exceptionally kind & professional. Front Desk was once again a complete disaster. This was my third visit to Summer Island, yet the first thing they asked me was to settle my bill for the Christmas Gala Dinner (150 USD/person). At the same time, they failed to inform us about the food & drink credit included in our stay. Only when I specifically asked about it was when they said something about it. Front Desk staff is overly focused on payment collection, which creates an unpleasant atmosphere and undermines the sense of Trust(!) they claim to have toward their “Valued Guests”. They also neglected to inform us about the wine & cheese tasting organised for returning guests. Obviously, they do not even know who their returning guests are. We only discovered the tasting event by chance since Avi Bar staff remembered us from last year. There seem to be too many staff members at Front Desk without clear roles and responsibilities. Their English language skills is limited, and interaction often feels scripted and repetitive, hardly what one expects from a fine island resort. Just like last year, the mandatory Christmas Gala Dinner was a rip-off. To make matters worse, some guest (e.g. in room 273), became seriously ill for several days after the Gala Dinner. This is completely unacceptable! My final remark is that compared to last year prices have increased, yet quality has declined!
Fantastic holiday on a beautiful Maldives Island: Summer Island offered us the best blend of affordability and Maldives luxury.
Our Superior beach room was a downstairs apartment with guests staying in similar above us, but other then the occasional furniture moving on the floors tiles we did not hear them.
The food was great with plenty of choice and volume. Great cocktails available at the bar.
The rooms had the most comfortable sun loungers we have ever used, and fresh beach towels every day.
The speedboat ride to and from the airport was on time and very comfortable, taking 45 mins each way. Oh and flying Emirates you know the excellent standard you will receive.
All round this was an excellent holiday and at an amazing price through Expedia.
Nice hotel, especially very friendly staff and good service. We had a water villa and the room was great.
However was not as exceptional as we thought based on their website. E.g. the hotel could make the restaurants and bar more cozy, some areas of the beach were full of little stones and simply didn’t look like you imagine a beach in the Maldives, sun chair covers were a bit dirty, etc.
No house reef directly reachable, only via boat. Prices were very high, a small pack of cookies 8$ and rent of snorkeling equipment for a day 15$.
