"We spent three nights at Aristi Mountain Resort at the end of a 10-day trip to Greece, and it exceeded our expectations. The photos and reviews do not do it justice. The resort has about 26 rooms spread across several stone buildings on the mountainside above the charming village of Aristi. Our Superior Double Room felt like a private cottage, with its own entrance, spacious bedroom and sitting area, large bathroom with jacuzzi tub, and outdoor seating. Thick stone walls and shutters kept the room naturally cool, so air conditioning was rarely needed. Breakfast was excellent, served indoors or on a terrace with spectacular mountain views. We also enjoyed dinner one evening. The food and service were excellent, though prices were higher than in the village. A more casual daytime menu would be welcome for snacks. The pool was rarely crowded, but shade was limited. The same was true of the restaurant terrace, where a larger roof would improve comfort. Opening the dining room to the outdoors creates a lovely atmosphere but also attracts flies. The poolside lounge, terrace, and bar are underused. Offering drink menus, light snacks, and more shade would make these spaces more inviting. Overall, the resort has a relaxed, luxurious atmosphere that we thoroughly enjoyed. The indoor pool beside the spa offers a quieter alternative, though direct access to the adjoining terrace would make it even better."

Hotel Du Lac Congress Center & Spa

"My partner and I stayed here for three nights in late June, between visits to Corfu and Zagori, and were very happy with our choice. Built in 1998, the hotel has the feel of a classic mountain resort. While some reviews describe it as “dated,” that really only applied to our room. The rest of the property felt traditionally styled, well maintained, and very inviting. Our room was spacious, with a balcony overlooking the lake. The bathroom is due for an update, particularly the tub and half-wall shower, which left the floor wet after every use. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a bright dining room and a wide selection of hot and cold items. We were initially concerned that the hotel’s conference centre might make it feel like a business hotel, but that wasn’t the case at all. The large pool area, with plenty of loungers, umbrellas, a bar, and beautifully maintained landscaping, was a highlight of our stay. Although the pool was busy when we arrived on Sunday, the staff did an outstanding job ensuring guests could find available loungers by promptly removing abandoned towels. The hotel is about a 12 to 15-minute walk from the restaurants and bars in the city centre, making it close enough for convenience while remaining peaceful. We’d happily stay here again."

"The room wasn’t ready at 2:00 PM, as per our booking. The room was small, but the balcony was lovely. Lack of privacy with adjacent unit’s balcony. The breakfast & private beach were very nice. Lack of evening staff at the bar. Lots of mosquitoes!"

"The only issue is the parking on the narrow streets. There is parking, but if you have a large car/suv you may get stuck. You are within the castle, which is awesome. I parked the Suv, outside the castle and walked 5 mins. Very easy and much easier to navigate. Hotel was very very nice."

"It is a beautiful setting. The hotel is relatively small but the villas are nicely placed and the pool and bar areas are very nice. The sea is very pleasant with a fine rocky almost sandy beach easily accessible. Sun loungers on the beach are not available but there are enough sun loungers in the surrounding spaces with a sea view so that is OK. There were no water sports eg kayaking available although the hotel next door has a couple of paddleboards you can hire. The sea swimming area is pretty and warm, fine for most but if you like a bigger sea swim you do end up in boat lane traffic after 50 to 100 metres. Very relaxing. Great breakfast and food if a little pricey. Local village is very sweet and renting a boat there is easy. No massage or spa. No real activities to speak of. Very hilly site. But if you just want somewhere clean relaxing with a nice pool, a good view and easy access to the sea, it hits the spot."
