"Air conditioning wasn’t very effective. Room never got below 24 Celsius. It’s simple, has some basic pots, pans, etc., but we didn’t use the cooking top. Nice little patio area. Location is solid - it was quiet, very close to the bus station, grocery store (with self-service laundromat inside), only about 5-10 minute walk to the nearest beach and maybe 20 to Old Town. Not a ton of restaurant options in the immediate area, other than a McDonald’s."

Zadar Old Town

Zadar Old Town captivates with ancient marble streets that reveal centuries of history at every turn. The unique Sea Organ creates haunting melodies as waves push air through underwater pipes. Roman columns stand beside medieval churches and Venetian architecture, creating a living museum on this Adriatic peninsula. This walkable district invites exploration with its car-free pathways and stunning seaside views. Cathedral of St. Anastasia and circular St. Donat's Church showcase the area's rich religious heritage. At sunset, the Sun Salutation disc installation pulses with colorful light along the waterfront promenade.

Borik

Borik is a sun-soaked resort area along Zadar's Adriatic coastline where pristine pebble beaches meet crystal-clear waters. Pine-shaded walking paths wind along the waterfront, offering spectacular sunset views and peaceful evening strolls. The neighborhood centers around modern resort complexes with excellent amenities. The area shines with its beach-focused attractions including Beach Puntamika and Borik Beach. Water sports enthusiasts can rent kayaks and paddleboards while resort spas offer relaxing wellness treatments. Though dining options primarily exist within hotels, they serve fresh seafood and Croatian specialties with beautiful sea views.

Brodarica

Though Brodarica might not have many top sights, you can venture to the surrounding area to see attractions like Zadar Station and Sea Gate.

Arbanasi

Arbanasi offers a peaceful retreat just outside Zadar where traditional stone houses with red-tiled roofs line quiet residential streets. This suburb combines Albanian cultural heritage with Croatian coastal charm. Modest neighborhood parks and private gardens dot the landscape. Walk along the Adriatic shoreline to discover less-crowded beaches with crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming. The neighborhood has few tourist attractions but provides authentic interactions with welcoming locals. Central Zadar's historic sites remain easily accessible by car or bus.

Komoševa

Komoševa offers a glimpse into authentic Croatian daily life away from tourist crowds. This quiet residential neighborhood serves as a peaceful retreat with tree-lined streets and traditional stone houses mixed with modern buildings. Local families go about their routines while church bells chime in the distance. The few family-run konobas here serve delicious Dalmatian cuisine at reasonable prices. While lacking specific attractions, Komoševa provides an affordable base for exploring nearby Preko Harbor and Fort Saint Michael. Most visitors appreciate the genuine hospitality from local apartment owners who share insider recommendations.

"A relatively new and well-maintained hotel in Zadar, with the Old Town just a short boat-taxi ride away. The facilities were all in excellent condition, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. "The hotel was wonderful! But I need to start with the neighborhood because that’s how our stay started. The immediate neighborhood looked sketchy, especially because we pulled up on the side but we learned from the locals that it is very safe and we became very comfortable the longer we stayed. The hotel was amazing. Breakfast was huge and they immediately offered to reserve a large table setting for our large group. We also ate at the hotel for dinner and an appetizer lunch and were very pleased. The staff was quick to help us. The place was super clean and comfortable and the suites are designed for both comfort and practicality. It’s a mile walk to restaurants and the old town. We varied in age from 13-75 so a few less mobile individuals used uber or Bolt which was easy. Old town was lovely. I would have stayed longer for a hotel massage!"

"We stayed for 2 nights at this excellent small hotel. The staff were very welcoming and exceptionally helpful. The dining was great, both at the included breakfast and also in the hotel's Kastel restaurant. Our room on the 3rd floor was large, comfortable and well air-conditioned. The main attractions of the Old Town of Zadar (Sea Organ, Roman Forum, St. Anastasia Cathedral, a range of good restaurants, etc.) are all within an easy walk. I see someone else posted complaint about noise from a bar across the street. Yes, you could hear it if your room faced the street and harbour as ours did; but it stopped both nights by 11pm, so was not really a problem for sleeping."
