"None of the staff spoke English. Very hard to communicate. Staff was friendly but clueless on how to deal with visitors from outside of China Food offerings were limited. No restaurant, just a bistro Very bad location, away from the city, squeezed in a tiny street. The entrance gave the appearance of going into a warehouse Overpriced. Low value for money"

"This beautiful little hotel is built around a small courtyard that gives the feeling of a traditional Chinese home, with beautiful old woodwork and lattice bannisters and windows. "We had an AMAZING time. We were so pleasantly surprised to learn this hotel is actually owned by the same family for over 100 years. It truly feels like you are staying with family. The Chinese breakfast was excellent (the baba was my favorite) - they also have Western style breakfast. Amy was so helpful in helping us make restaurant reservations, and great recommendations. We even did a free tea tasting and bought a lot of excellent tea. Truly a wonderful time, could not recommend it enough! The room was clean and perfect. The location is excellent as well. There even is free laundry on site!"
