"We had a wonderfully relaxing few days. The staff were friendly and helpful and the meals were most enjoyable. Our room was immaculately clean and the water was hot. It was lovely to be able to sit out on a balcony and read. The manager arranged a great safari to Bandula National Park and provided us with a very tasty breakfast to take with us. "Our finest day was borrowing bikes from the hotel and bicycling to Kirinda. Wonderful secluded beach 12 Km from Tissa. Also the evening flight of fruit bats from the large trees at the lake was fantastic. Be there at dusk."

The one staff was a great guy, so freindly and helpful, i was in the area to visit national park and he arranged this for me. "We used the hotels as a base for a safari tour and it was an ideal base. The location is great, being a short walk (1500m) out of Tissa. Lake Wind Resort is a beautiful heritage building that has had life injected again by new management. The team could not have been more helpful and attentive. We had a few minor issues, such as a very minor leak (understandable as the build has recently had work done), but the team addressed promptly and properly. Don’t let that put you off because the hotel was very clean, comfortable and had AC, cold fridge and served good food. Breakfast on the veranda was memorable, it is such a beautiful setting, the omelette and fruit was delicious and so well presented. We walked along the lake each evening and enjoyed seeing the locals spending time and having fun there. I have added a few photos for information. We really enjoyed staying at the hotel and wish the team well as they definitely looked after us."
