5. Cosy Home in Stoke on Trent

"Unfortunately, the property did not meet reasonable cleanliness or maintenance standards. On arrival, the oven and hob were visibly dirty with grease and residue, and the kitchen overall did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There was no bin provided anywhere in the property, only loose bin bags left for guests to manage waste themselves. The bathroom showed visible mould around the shower area. This is a hygiene issue that should not be present in a paid short-term let. The sofa in...

"Excellent communication from host & easy check in with key lock. Room was spacious & comfortable for our family of 4. The only negative was that we hadn’t realised that bathroom would be downstairs, which resulted in the kids being a bit anxious about going on their own, as it’s a shared house and they weren’t comfortable wandering around the house on their own with strangers. Not a problem for the adults, but the kids weren’t comfortable. "

Top Yarnfield and Cold Meece Hotel Reviews

Days Inn by Wyndham Stafford

8/10 Good

"The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the hotel was very conveniently located, with McDonald’s, Costa, Pret and WHSmith all downstairs, making it easy to get food and buy everyday essentials. There was also plenty of parking, including EV charging facilities, which was a great bonus as we travelled by electric car. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom ventilation, as there was no extractor fan. After showering, the bathroom became like a steam room, with condensation dripping down the walls and the floor becoming very wet. This could definitely be improved. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and were very happy with the helpful staff and convenient location."

Holiday Inn Stoke on Trent M6, Jct 15 by IHG

8/10 Good

"Room was as expected for a hokiday inn express. Though doors could have a "soft close" element to them, so that early risers do not disrurb others unintentionally. Check in was fine, staff member could have been more attentitive - but heyho! The other recorion person (male) was full of beans and realky set a great welcome for the cistomer next ro me.... Bar staff good and efficient in service."
