"I recently returned to Tambua Sands Resort earlier this month, my second visit, the first being 20 years ago and it was just as magical as I remembered. The resort is small and intimate, with just 21 bures, giving it a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. I stayed in an ocean view bure, which was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. As a solo female traveller, I felt 100% safe at all times, both in the resort and exploring the surrounding area. The resort has a genuine “real Fiji” feel, with all local staff who make you feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive. Every team member introduces themselves and remembers your name, you’re never just a guest or a number here. The food at the resort was very good, and for something special, I highly recommend taking a taxi to the Crab Shack for dinner, it’s very reasonably priced with amazing food and a great atmosphere. What really makes Tambua Sands stand out is the people. I couldn’t possibly single out one staff member, from the front-of-house team, kitchen and bar staff, gardeners, activities and tour guides, to the security team and the amazing cleaning staff. Every single person worked together to create a truly welcoming and memorable stay. If you’re looking for a small, authentic, and warm Fijian experience, Tambua Sands is the perfect choice. I will definitely return again. "

"Absolutely fantastic value for money. Lovely resort that’s great for families or couples. Not over crowded. Fantastic snorkeling and reef walks. If you are after the true Fijian experience without needing all the luxury amenities….you have come here to experience the Fiji islands after all…this is paradise. "Great location on the beach with beautiful gardens and infinity pool. Nice size resort for couples. Front bungalows can get a bit noisy but very comfortable. Service was amazing with a few activities every day. Making contact prior to the stay was problematic however it was all fine once we arrived. There were some shops / restaurants nearby which was handy. The restaurant on site was ideal though. "

"The resort has great activities like snorkeling, and kayaking. The cultural activities were also great to experience. I was glad to find that there was an adults only portion of the resort. As a solo traveler it was nice to get away from the bustling of families. "

"Great pool to lounge around & relax - just need alot more sun loungers as they were always full, would have been great to have more options for pool side massages (cheaper too) Slow service for table ordering,had to ask for water a few times before actually getting it. Staff always friendly though,just Fiji time"
