Good Centrally Located Hotel

Good hotel centrally located in Wuppertal, 5 minute from the city centre, also 2 minute walk from Kluse station on the Schweberbahn (worth a ride for the sheer strangeness of it!) Check in was straight forward. The reception is not manned overnight - I was clumsy and lost my key card when reception was closed. However, a guest managed to resolve my issue by calling the contact centre and get me a temporary card. Breakfast has a decent range of items, including cheese, meats and pancakes. Room was a good size with decent air conditioning and the option of opening the window if I so wished. Bathroom was clean with plenty of towels provided: their policy is for guests to request additional linen rather than replace daily - very eco friendly. The only thing I could pick up on was a lack of coffee making facilities in the room. That aside, very satisfied customer here. I stayed 5 nights at around €65/night which feels like great value! Would stay again.

Das Frühstück war gut und Mengenmäßig vollkommen in Ordnung. Alles war sauber und preislich angemessen, mehr als genügend Platz. Parken nur gegen zusätzliche Kosten. Klimaanlage defekt, im Sommer wäre das ein Kritikpunkt.

Dass bei heissen Temperaturen die Klimaanlage defekt ist, kann passieren. Dann erwarte ich aber mehr als nur den bloßen Hinweis, dass das Ding kaputt ist und man nichts machen könne.

OK hotel

Very convenient hotel for the city. Comfort was as would be expected for a hotel of this style (Ibis) and at this price. A little noise from road traffic. Only issues was the A/C had broken and the shower water was either hot or very hot!

Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich, was grundsätzlich positiv ist. Leider war die Dusche nur mit kaltem Wasser nutzbar – ein großes Manko. Besonders ärgerlich war, dass es über Nacht keine Rezeption oder Ansprechpartner gab, sodass wir das Problem nicht melden konnten. Am Morgen haben sich mehrere Gäste beim Check-out über das kalte Wasser beschwert, es schien also kein Einzelfall zu sein. Schade, denn mit funktionierenden Sanitäranlagen hätte der Aufenthalt deutlich angenehmer sein können.

Sehr unfair dass man nicht vorher informiert wird,dass die Klimaanlage im ganzen hotel seit längerer Zeit defekt ist. Nicht schön . Dann sollte man es von der Beschreibung rausnemehen denke ich.

Leider hatten wir in unserem Zimmer nur kaltes Wasser. Sowohl am Waschbecken als auch in der Dusche. Uns wurde nach dem Bescheid geben zwar ein anderes Zimmer angeboten, aber da wir nur 1 Nacht da waren und auch schon geduscht hatten, war der Umzug nicht von Nöten. Der Herr am Empfang meinte, er würde sich darum kümmern...

Recht zentral gelegen, man ist zu Fuß sehr schnell am HBF und in der Innenstadt. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich aber das freundliche und sehr zuvorkommende Personal. Ich habe mich bestens betreut gefühlt.
