Top Worsthorne Hotel Reviews

Hampton By Hilton Rochdale

10/10 Excellent

"We were in Rochdale for a wedding so this hotel was ideally situated for the Registry Office. We were very pleased with the hotel overall. We had a nice quiet room which was very well equipped - fridge, safe, iron and ironing board and air con. The tv was massive as was the bed which was really comfortable. Breakfast was included which consisted of a good choice of hot and cold foods. No hotel car park but had no problem parking in the Riverside Car Park across the road with a discount for staying at the hotel. Staff were polite and helpful. Couple of negatives - the bathroom had a smell of dirty mop when we first arrived and the hairdryer didn’t reach a mirror as not a three pin plug close enough and it had such a short lead (but that is being a bit picky). Overall very pleased with this hotel and thought it excellent value for money."

Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good

"The hotel itself is a stunning place to stay at. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The catering and services were brilliant. Very impressed with pool, sauna and steam room. I was very happy and content to see there was plenty of food options for me, being I have a Gluten and Diary free diet. It’s been a very long time since I was able to enjoy a delicious crispy battered Cod in this type establishment. The breakfast setup was fantastic and ticked all my boxes and provided great alternatives. Unfortunately I have to say the gluten free sausage was awful, you can get a better. The room itself was not clean well, got dust on my jeans when knee down on the carpet for example. I think this maybe due to the fact our room choice details were not provided to hotel from third party so they had change our room to a room with twin beds that wasn’t meant to be used. I was annoyed that the receptionist constantly implied it was my fault that they didn’t have the right details. I believed being I requested and booked a twin room via online that this should automatically relay to the hotel. This needs to be looked at. Our room was too hot, so had a terrible first night sleeping. why so hot?, unsure as radiator was not on and window was open, perhaps we were above the kitchen or laundrette?? So had to ask for a fan. Suggest a fan is provided at all times in this room. Also concerned disable guest were not fully informed of no lift. There a few more points but can’t say as no space too."

Cedar Court Huddersfield

8/10 Good

"Large, sprawling property with good amenities for wheelchair customers but with long corridors that may be challenging for guests who have other walking aids or breathing difficulties. Excellent breakfast with a good range of hot and cold items and some healthy options. Warm and friendly greeting from staff on arrival. Large car park that empties out overnight but VERY busy on a Sunday morning (extremely difficult to find a vacant space). Easy to pay for parking using a machine in the lobby and reasonably priced. Bed was large but short so had to lie across it diagonally. Great bathroom with easy to use shower. Very strange smell in the room that isn’t noticeable once you’ve been in the room a while but it really hits you each time you enter the room. Room felt secure aside from an inter-room door that could potentially be opened using a generic Chubb key. Good location and very handy for Huddersfield and surrounding area."
