Based on the theme of Jules Verne's adventure novel, "Around the World in Eighty Days", the amusement park sees you travel from continent to continent in rides to suit every adrenaline level.Over in the Orient you will come up against the Spinning Dragons, while over in Africa you can wrestle with the Mamba. A popular ride in Americana is the Patriot. Carriages that colourfully display a stars-and-stripes motif hoist riders up 45 metres before propelling them through rolls and corkscrews at high speed. With lots of places to choose from every taste and budget is catered for.In 2013 Worlds of Fun joined forces with Oceans of Fun next door and together they are the biggest amusement park in Missouri. One price affords entry to both parks which is great value. You can access all the waterslides and pools Oceans of Fun has to offer, which is great for cooling down on those hot days.Worlds of Fun is a short drive northeast of Kansas City.
