"The staff at the front desk was meh. Housekeeping was great! Rooms are beautiful and very clean. 1878 restaurant was so bad. Do not eat there! Ugh. We gave it 2 tries and each time was a bad experience. The staff was okay, waitresses but the food…yuck. The pool and staff were great! The ground were clean the gift was okay, but a snide young lady working there that acted like it was inconvenient to helps us. Otherwise, we thought it was great! "

"The condition of the room was poor. The furniture was stained and showed quite a bit of wear and tear, gouges in flooring.The toilet had urine on the base. Coffee maker had old coffee in it from prior guest. Cups in cupboard were put away dirty. I cleaned the tables and counters myself because they had material stuck on them. Good: pleasant front desk staff, relatively quiet except for being near an active train line. I put on noise canceling headphones to block the sound. This could be a much nicer place if the rooms were better maintained and the furniture kept clean and in good repair."

"Property is clean-ish and was convenient to family nearby. Used the laundry facilities--but only one washer and dryer. Had to get up real early to avoid laundry room backup. Breakfast was OK. Housekeeping didn't change sheets for the 6 days we stayed there."

"We booked a night over spring break so the kids could swim. Upon arriving to the pool, we find out the pool heater is broken so it was freezing! Felt like frigid lake water. The kids swam a little bit but spent most of their time in the hot tub as a result. Had I known the heater was broken, I would not have booked at the hotel. Additionally, the deadbolt on the hotel door was broken, so the only thing securing the door was the latch which I didn’t notice until after 10 pm. That was a disappointment as well as I was traveling solo with two toddlers and safety should never be a concern!"
