"We had booked this property as a stayover for my mum who was needing to be at the hospital nearby early the next morning. The day of booking the property the owner called after 9pm to enquire where the payment was to which we explained it was purchased on hotels.com AND that the trip was for my SICK mother. "This was our 3rd visit and the room was very well kept and neat. I cannot recall if there was an iron previously but we did miss this - perhaps a mini foldable ironing board and iron could be provided. The salt and pepper shakers had the wrong contents (salt shaker had pepper in it and vice versa). The privacy screen at the pool looks great. "We stayed here 30 years ago and it was great to be back in beautiful Paarl. New owners are very friendly and so helpful... their little doggie snowy so sweet. Its a listed building and having breakfast in the old part of the house is so cool. That is a true South African breakfast. Delicious. Never tasted a eggs bennie that good."

"We stayed in a luxury 4 sleeper unit, which was nice, with all the basic cutlery, crockery in a house you could possibly need, spacious with a much needed aircon, there was staff who came to clean the unit each day. The only thing i wished they refilled for us was the dish washing liquid and left us with a dish cloth to dry our daily dishes. The couches in the lounge was really hard to sleep on and uncomfortable, not really suited for elderly adults."
