"Staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel overall was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, breakfast was unpleasant at best. Eggs, sausages and pasta pancakes were all horrible. Otherwise a fine place to stay."

"The hotel was hosting a large group of young lacrosse players attending a tournament in the city, and unfortunately the behaviour throughout the property was completely out of control. Children were running up and down the hallways unrestrained late into the evening and early in the morning. At one point, nets were actually set up in the second-floor hallway and a lacrosse game was taking place indoors. It was unbelievable that this was allowed to continue without intervention from hotel management. To make matters worse, there was absolutely no hot water in the morning, making it impossible to shower. Before checking out, we attempted to have breakfast in the restaurant, where food was being served buffet-style. Young kids were reaching into the bacon container with their bare hands, which was completely unsanitary and unacceptable. We immediately decided to leave and went to a local restaurant instead. What was most disappointing was the apparent lack of any management presence or effort to monitor and correct behaviour throughout the hotel. The atmosphere felt chaotic, with little regard for other guests trying to enjoy a peaceful stay. Needless to say, we will not be returning."

"Suite was homely and cozy, downtown Peterborough is fairly accessible by car, and convenience store right down the road. The property has a beautiful garden visible from the patio with lots of birds visiting for those into birdwatching. Host was knowledgeable about attractions in the area, recommending multiple places for us to visit."
Beachwood Resort

"I have to give you for the properties that are stated in the Beachwood Resort. I tell them that it was impeccable clean, the room. They upgraded my room and they had a beautiful beach front with kayaks and boats and boat rides and swimming pool, nice swimming pool, heated swimming pool and the restaurant food was also amazing and clean, like serene atmosphere and they gave us a complimentary boat ride. Don't write this. And you can rent the boat if you want and I rented the boat and the owners were so helpful in teaching me how to ride it for the first time. And food was very, very tasty in the restaurant and the pizza and the pasta and the fish. So overall, we had, there is a trail there to walk, trail there to walk and nice pristine clear waters of the lake. And for photo shooting, for photo shoot, it was a very nice and skiing, water skiing is also available. And built a fire in the night side fire also in the in some area in a fire, what we call lit a fire and sit around it. So it was also fun. And the property was well maintained. Staff was courteous. Staff was helpful. And overall it was, I'll give you five star out of five star. And such a, I would really advise other people to experience the same. And I don't know why it is not listed in one of the topmost beach house properties. And it was really fun. Thank you very much for the vacation stay in the Beachwood Resort. "

"Beds were comfortable and bedding clean but the floor made our feet dirty in no time. Bathroom floor around the toilet bordered on disgusting and very little water made it up to the shower head, particularly the cold water, making setting the temperature tricky. Streaming TV was constantly buffering and available channels were limited. Staff was difficult to understand and the office smelled of curry. Wifi was decent. Needed to drive into downtown for shopping and restaurants. A server in town told us that the motel had been improved recently but more needs to be done. It's affordable but we'll stay elsewhere next time."
