"This is a very characterful building in an amazing location, nestled in amongst the colleges. It's important to note that in our experience there was nearly no service: when we were there we did not meet a single staff member. But for us this was fine. We spoke to them by phone, and they were very helpful and flexible with us as we solved some checking-in problems (of our own making, not their fault). "Lovely stay! We got there late and the restaurant part of the bar downstairs was closing but our kind bed and breakfast owner asked them to wait a bit and feed us. The bar was fun and had a variety of British beers. Absolutely recommend it!"

"Very clean room, the Deer room, nice size with large bathroom, great shower. Tea, biscuits and milk in mini fridge, alternative milks available if needed. Quiet area behind the main road. Several great restaurants, but book ahead as they can be busy for dinner. We stayed here 8 years ago on holiday and are glad we came back, it was just as good as we remembered. "
