Worse place ever.

The worse experience I've ever had with hotel.vom customer service to start and hotel it was promoted as 3 star and it was a complete disgrace. This place shouldnt be even called a hotel, no bar, restaurants, cleaning and beds ran down like it was never cleaned. Very disappointed about this stay, and will be complaining formally.

Disappointed to find that the main hotel was closed so there was no facilities such as bar and restaurant. Reception was a table in an annexe and all the rooms were in an annexe. TV that wouldn't connect so no channels to view. A shower that was stuck on scolding hot. No sugar.

Evetything falsely advertised ,NO food available definitely no room service in fact not even a restaurant. I booked looking at the leading picture. I was accommodated in a annex which in fact was filthy. I booked the room because of the "disabled person " facilities. The shower had nowhere to house shampoo , conditioner, or shower gel . Just a mark on the wall were it should have been. The water temperature was at best luke warm . I tried to book into a different hotel but they were all fully booked . So instead of visiting my grieving friend , i became a responsibility to her , she would need to collect me to make sure i had food so i could take my medication 4 times aday . I have approached the company for a refund ,but had no response.

You don't stay in the building pictured - you stay in the "lodge" next door. Asked (and refused) to provide credit card number/expiry and CVV code on the check-in form for a prepaid room in a hotel with no dining facilities. If Travelodge or Premier Inn open in Wisbech, this place would cease trading within a week.

For those who might not be able to work it out, these reviews clatter between two extremes of the spectrum, which might lead you to suspect that one side of this spectrum is not telling the truth. I stayed here on a one night business trip as I needed to be in Norwich the next day. I wish I'd stayed a little further away as this hotel is not at all what it seems. It looks grand from the façade, but this is not where you stay. You stay in the "Lodge", it's a very cheap hotel, that sees fit to take a £100 breakages guarantee from your credit card when you arrive, I don't think the furniture in total is worth that much. It's basic, and warm and clean, the front of house staff were very friendly but it's deceptive and that's why they're getting a bad review, it's a dishonest representation of the actual experience and by the time you've booked and paid, it's too late. I won't be fooled again and I urge you not to be fooled at all. Stay elsewhere until the representation on the site is of a budget hotel with very basic facilities, because that's what it is.

I have stayed at this hotel many time this time was a disappointment the hotel is not fully open and no food is being served. On a positive the lady that greeted and assisted me at the temporary reception was very helpful indeed.

I always stay

I Always stay here for my work trips, always a friendly lady at reception. Room is spacious and clean. Sometimes the traffic from the nearby road is a little loud but mostly just a faint white noise. Morrison’s right next door is nice. All round would recommend.

Basic in the extreme. We were not in the main building, in rooms like those pictured on the website. More like Motel -6.....sorry to say. Not even a luggage stand in the room. Restaurant was closed and the amenities minimal. For a week long stay it was rather sad. Somewhere to sleep and shower I suppose. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Was only partially open (no restaurant) and we were in an annex behind the main building that was pretty dismal. The main building was apparently closed. Basic in the extreme. No luggage stand, no ice machine, no hairdryer. No fridge/microwave (I guess these things are not standard in the UK). The staff were helpful in providing tea/coffee making items, but the tea cups were tiny! We ended up buying a mug each. Only cleaned the rooms once during our week long stay, and we had to tie up our own rubbihs and put in hallway. The manager was pleasant and apologetic about the lack of services. She did get me some ice one night so I could cool my wine down.

We were in a kind of annex and the rooms were rather mundane. The hotel was not entirely open and the restaurant was closed. Lack of amenities expected by US travellers (no microwave/fridge, hairdryer, ice machine, luggage rack, washcloths). Tiny little tea cups, ended up buying a mug) Staff were very helpful in providing linen (except washcloths) and tea/coffee making items. Showers were nice, but silly glass shelf in bathroom not level and things just slid off (only storage in bathroom).

The rooms are to hot no air conditioning and window only opens a small way Very run down and won’t be staying again. Was asked to keep tv down as the had workers sleeping there and were full. Don’t book quests in then that are going out and coming back late.
