"I like waking up with the sound of the birds, not like from the noise that one experience in town. Its isolation makes it more nice as a place to relax from all the fatigue of stresses and hotness. The lodge is really a place one can go just to relax for two or three days. I took game driving about was not really satisfied as we did not see many animals but the driver was really good and have a best customer service one could offer. "

"This is an excellent 1 night stop over for your trek through Namibia. The service from the staff is excellent, the accommodation is adequate and comfortable. You will sleep well and have a nice pool to relax by with a beer. The highlight is the dinner and breakfast. The owner is an award wining chef and the quality of the cuisine and wine list shows. "It is the oldest private game preserve, and it shows. Wrinkled pictures in frames filled with dead bugs, the yard needs a serious clean. That being said the bar/dinner area is quite lovely. Game drive vehicles are ancient. (One hour drive is R450, which seems really steep). I stayed at one of the ‘chalets’. As basic as it gets. "I booked Hotel Etambi last minute not doing enough research of Windhoek beforehand. It’s further out of the city (not to far but far enough) andnisnt in a great neighborhood. When I arrived (late at night) the property owner greeted me with a half desire to check me in. She told me it wasn’t safe to have my windows open at night even though it’s in a gated compound. For the first 20 mins I couldn’t find the AC remote and it was 100 degrees, it took me 10 doorbell rings for the owner to hear and...
