I would book again.

Booked a midweek break here, the accommodation was clean and the proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good as is the location to town.The parking is on the street and is by permit only,This can be obtained from the guest house.

Great little Guest House!

Our stay at Bonny Brae was fantastic. We loved our room, small but comfy and enough for us as a couple for a couple of nights. Service was excellent and the place was very clean.

All clean and noticeably new, selection of board games, books and dvd to borrow, good and plenty of breakfast. The only negative is the lack of parking places (if going with car). The owners provide a parking permit to be used in some roads near the hotel and indications of where to park, but, if planning to go out with car and return after 5 pm you might find difficult to find spaces.

I seldom wrote comments since hotel.com invited me. Our room is on 3rd floor, it is not convenient if you have lots of big luggages. Thank house staff wait for us check-in because we met problem when travel, i.g., heavy rain and GPS broken lost our way. But please be patient, we didn't do it on purpose, we also wanted to arrive there earlier as possible. By the way, we were told that we could not bring food back, and were asked to put our bring food to my car for a whole night. It is better to write this limiation policy clearly on hotel.com website, and we knew the policy when we booked. Besides, the house provide parking lot on street but it is hard to find space. Finally, the room is clean and the location is good for Lake District.

Super accommodation which was spotless and comfortable. Teresa was a fabulous host and made us feel welcomed and valued from our arrival until our departure. She could not do enough for us. Good facilities and local amenities which catered for our needs.

excellent B&B stay experience

We stayed two nights at Bonny Brea Guest House. It takes a 7-minute walk from Windermere Train Station (2 minutes by taxi around GBP 3.70). The host, Teresa, is very friendly and well-organized. The bedroom is very clean, comfortable and specious. The breakfast is very sumptuous, fresh and hot. There are two supermarket (Coop/Sainsbury) and several delicious restaurants within a 3-minutes walk distance. It takes a 20-minutes walk to Bowness.

Lovely, homely.

The Bonny Brae was a lovely guest house. We really enjoyed our 3 nights. The owners were very friendly and Teresa is a font of all knowledge when it comes to the local area. The guest house is in an ideal spot, we were able to park up and not move our car for 3 days you can walk to Windermere and Bowness very easily. Breakfast was beautiful, the rooms were spotlessly clean and had all the amenities you'd want.
