"We stayed at Barton's Mill for two nights. Plentiful parking, room was lovely and clean and the bed was comfy too. Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits, shampoo, conditioner etc. We had a couple of lovely meals in the pub and the breakfast was fab too. The staff were lovely and welcoming. We liked the check out at 11 so we didn't feel the need to rush. We would definitely recommend staying here. A beautiful spot next to the river with lovely walks."

"The hotel is magical - the staff super friendly. The decor elegant - remodel very well done - its very chic and not done in cheep way - the quality of toiletries and tea in room are high end - organic - wish we could stay here longer. The only thing to watch out for is check-in is closed from 12h-15h. The stairway up to the rooms is a bit narrow. Not a problem but just to be aware if you use oversized luggage. I would defiantly stay here again. "

"Lovely room and amazing shower. A few things that would improve overall visit- the green emergency light above the bedroom door casts light into the room all night and really impacts sleep for people who need a dark room? It was rather like having a nightlight you could not switch off. Would also be nice to have more than one towel and a mirror in the bedroom to dry hair. Comfortable bed but I didn’t sleep well due to the light issue unfortunately "

"Meals are special from an a la carte menu or a choice of other meals,everything was cooked from fresh ingrediants, attractive place to stay in ,only a short distance from Lyndhurst. Lovely walks in the New Forest ,the room was comfortable, my only bugbear was that there was no black out blinds at the window. Continental breakfast in the weekday, full English at weekends.A very pleasant stay."

"The Prince Consort is a nice local pub which also has rooms for bed and breakfast. I enjoyed the full English breakfast, which included very good quality bacon and sausages and all the usual ingredients. The coffee was especially delicious. I was visiting for a family funeral which was catered for there too. The buffet for the wake was also very good."

"We came with our 3 year old and 6 year old just for an overnight stay as we had visited Longleat. The hosts were really lovely and we had a little continental breakfast for the next morning with fresh milk and juice in the fridge. The room was spacious with a king sized bed and 2 x singles. Bathroom was spacious with great shower. Outside is a little courtyard plenty of space for the kids to run around. Nice and clean and spacious. Rooms finished to a high standard. Unfortunately this was not the case. My husband had the full English, but the black sausage was so dried out that when he put his fork in it it broke into tiny pieces (inedible).
