"The staff are lovely, and the property and gardens are beautiful (although they’re not quite as new or updated as the photos make it seem). It’s more of a charming quiet calm hotel in the countryside. My only issue was that the carpet had tons of large stains on it, which was rather gross and I’d expect a hotel to have a vacuum cleaner that can take stains out of the carpet. My second issue was there was no chair or desk in the room. I didn’t care that the tv only had 4 channels- all the other country side hotels in England I went to had limited television. But the lounge area had a tv so that’s what mattered. It was clean and I’d definitely go again. I didn’t use the restaurant and I was checked in/out during regular business hours only so cannot comment on that."

"Stayed in a Spa Suite, which was disappointing. Came with a Jacuzzi, Plunge & Sauna, which were all in a rear Courtyard. The rear Courtyard was covered in bird poo, so walking to either the Jacuzzi, Plunge or Sauna was like playing Twister! Outside seating cushions were either damp, mouldy or covered in bird poo! It’s clear that external housekeeping is lacking as are any form of spot checks by management. Cobwebs & leaves galore too! Some furniture needs renewing such as the Egg Seat in the rear Courtyard, which was very rusty & staining the patio. The actual Spa was very good as were the Spa Treatments. The atmosphere, food & vibe of the Hotel was excellent; frustratingly our mains were missed & we had to wait over an hour though! Overall, it didn’t meet our expectations, but so easily could’ve if managed a little differently i.e with attention to detail. Could be an absolute gem…"
