"Decent enough place. Slightly dated and creaky but in a characterful way and owners are clearly working hard to tidy the place up. Putting the breakfast waiter into smarter clothes would help as casual tops and shorts really don’t cut a professional image. Above all it was great to stay somewhere that hadn’t got the heating cranked up to crematorium levels and windows that can be opened properly which gave a comfortable nights sleep. "

"The hot tub room was great, very comfortable, modern facilities, the hot tub itself was fun, and we could wander down from the patio to the outdoor pool. The staff were always keen to oblige. Everything table service in the bar, there are a couple of nice lounges and outdoor seating. All staff helpful and very friendly. Food in the restaurant was very good quality. Some of it is grown on site. Breakfast excellent, both continental and hot options. Good walking in the area, including right from the hotel grounds. "
