"Well, upon arriving at the hotel, I did not see any staff members except for construction workers on site. I would not have stayed there if I had known a few things beforehand. I checked in through a live person on camera, and later found out that the staff handling check-ins and check-outs were physically located in India. I just hope Super 8 has a strong protocol in place to protect guests’ personal information, since I was required to scan my ID and credit card during the check-in process."

"I have almost nothing but wonderful things to say about my week long stay. I thought upon check in there should be some incentive given to gamble. 10 Match play, free slot plays, SOMETHING. Instead I was given a $10 slot play as I was checking out.... Counterintuitive if you ask me. But overall? 4.8 out of 5. I do wish there was 24 food available, or it would have been a 5. The hours the restaurants ARE open, they serve amazing food and really good prices. My room was perfect. "

"Worst hotel experience in a long time. Avoid. This place is essentially a dog hotel — every room smells like it, furniture is damaged, and there’s zero separation for guests without pets. The front desk computer was down at 10PM, turning check-in into a disaster. The young employee was completely rude — no patience, no empathy for a family traveling with a toddler along the Oregon Coast. She refused our $100 cash deposit for 30 minutes, finally accepted it, then never gave a receipt. When I asked, no apology — just attitude like I was the problem. I paid $120 for this room and was treated like I didn’t matter. A hotel that depends on travelers for its business has no right treating guests like garbage. Now I’m thinking I need to spend $300 just to get basic respect and a smile at check-in. That says everything about this place. Book anywhere else."

"This was a basic vintage hotel. It was comfortable and fine, but nothing to write home about. For instance, the rooms don’t have microwaves or little fridges. But the bathtub was really deep and awesome. It’s the kind you wanna get on the open ocean with a paddle and head your way to Hawaii."

"The lobby and breakfast area are being renovated so all the pictures of the hotel first floor are fake. When we stayed, everyone had to take the breakfast to your room. The hotel and Expedia should notify guests that there is construction going on. It should NOT be a surprise when you arrive. "

"We would definitely stay in this cabin again and recommend it to others. It was nicely updated, clean and very quiet. I would just recommend they check the fireplace and leave specific directions, as we couldn't get the controller to turn it on."

"We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel as it seemed older, and we did not have high hopes. It was clean and seemed like they did some updates. The staff, and we spoke with many, because we always have questions, were all outstanding and helpful. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. When we left there was a crew trimming trees and cleaning up the property. We had a pet friendly room that was clean and did not look or feel like some pet friendly rooms we have been in. There was a huge area for our dog to do her business and even run around. There were restaurants nearby and the Round Table across the street was really good. We were there for softball, and it was an easy trip to the University."
