"The place has a great view of the ocean, but the rooms are disappointing for the price you pay as there are none of the regular items you'd expect, such as a microwave or ice trays. "I was looking forward to wonderful weekend away but the hotel just does not live up to its pictures, maybe it did 10 years ago. The hotel needs a serious refurb as well as the grounds of the hotel. "On our way from Cape Town to the wonderful Pure Nature Lodge in Paterson we stopped twice at The Old Trading Post for one night stop-over.
