The front desk staff was lovely, the room itself was what we expected...no surprises. We especially liked the fact that the morning cool air was coming in the lobby but the fireplace was roaring for warmth and coziness. We especially enjoyed the game area downstairs which included ping pong, shuffle table board, jigsaw puzzles and more.

Very good location. Easy check in and out. Older style room meaning shower is small and pedestal sink is in the room not bathroom. Nice sheets, bed and pillow. Limited storage room. Really nice restaurant on site with attentive service

Charming facility that is literally right outside the west entrance to GNP. Delicious restaurant on the property and we appreciated the grab and go breakfast. It’s located near a train track and the train runs frequently so that was a small issue.

Accommodations were just as we expected. Very rustic look and feel to the whole area. Front desk staff were very helpful and eager to please. Location was great for us to meet our hiking guide on West end of Glacier Park and for walking to West Village area. Bar and restaurant staff were attentive and courteous, loved the local food/drink options!

Great staff, very nice and helpful.... This place is old, 1913, but right up my alley, no TV, just a bed and a shower in the forest, cool old fireplaces, great bar and restaurant. I would stay there again in a heartbeat if I was ever going back to Glacier.

Older charming chalet. Was original headquarters for the park is what a tour guide told us. Room was nice, staff great and had breakfast in the AM to go. Would definitely stay again.

The stay was amazing! We didnt realize that it was a very old building, so no TV and no a/c but we had a fan and were able to keep the windows open. Now they do have trains that come by the location every hour, but honestly once we went to sleep ( they provided sound machines and ear plugs) we didnt hear the trains. It was a very nice room and the showers were updated and clean! Loved the experience

The staff was great. The restaurant was great. The bathroom was clean but a plastic shower and the sink was in the bedroom area. There is no mention of the nearby train tracks that have freight trains going by at all hours. It was hot, and probably because of climate change, the hotel is not air conditioned. A very good feature is it's proximity to the entrance to Glacier National Park.

Great place to stay, wonderful staff and food at the restaurant. It's an old way-stop on the Empire Builder AMTRAC Route. Still a lot of train traffic through here. About every two hours, all night, Our room had a walk-out balcony for the sunset, and they provide ear plugs!! Enjoy, but be aware!

We were surprised to find muffins, coffee and apples offered in the morning. Muffins were large and delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. We were given ear plugs and a white noise machine since the train went by across the street. However, I did not hear the train overnight.

Beautiful, historic railroad hotel and just outside the west entrance to Glacier National Park. Nice pastries and coffee to start the day. Friendly staff, clean room and great experience in this impressive, if not "fancy" hotel.
