"I’ve stayed here many times. I know it’s not a five star hotel - each time before the rooms were very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. The parking is cramped but there’s not much they can do about that. This time the new front desk staff had my reservation wrong (I booked a kitchenette room) and when I asked to be moved from the room he offered (I knew from past experience that the full time guest beside that room is a heavy smoker and the smoke drifts into the room beside), he rolled his eyes and gave me the keys in a curt manner. Not cool. "

"After a few days in Edmonton and due to deteriorating road conditions we decided to spend the night on Whitecourt. After checking what hotels were available we chose the most expensive hoping for a good nights rest. The room was fine and all was well until guests moved in upstairs and were loud to the point of shaking the building. We didn’t complain until after 10:30 and were told by the front desk that there was a hockey team staying at the hotel and they would take care of it.. Well, they didn’t. We called again after midnight and were once again assured that it would be taken care of...once again it wasn't and there was no sleep to be had until well after 3am. At checkout I politely told the front desk about probably the worst night we have ever spent in a hotel (We stay in a lot of hotels) and were met with basically a shrug and a sh#t happens attitude. When I mentioned that other hotels manage to enforce their quiet hours policy it seems she was more or less suggesting that I should stay there next time. Rest assured that I will. "

"We were in the 300 series rooms, very nice ample parking for trailers. "
