Family friendly Hotels in Whistler, British Columbia

"Great ski hotel. Pleasant staff and great location. Everything is walkable - however, it was just a little too far to the ski lifts in ski boots for me. They have their own free shuttle bus, but I just rented skis from somewhere closer to the lifts, and then changed my boots/shoes there. There is no boot drying room in the hotel, which surprised me. As a European skier, I’m used to these being pretty standard in hotels. Soggy cold boots were a little frustrating each morning. The rooms themselves are excellent, with lovely toiletries, and everything you could possibly need. Comfortable bed, all very clean, and serviced well each day. The little kitchen is a great bonus. I made breakfast every morning and then ate out in the evening. There’s a fantastic supermarket directly opposite. My only issue was noise. I had no issues from outside, but the internal room doors have zero soundproofing so you can hear absolutely everything. There is no restaurant, but you are spoiled for choice in the town centre. Balam and Araxi were my personal favourites. "

"We arrived to the hotel at 1pm and kindly asked if they could accommodate earlier check in than 4pm as i am pregnant, however they did not. By 4.20pm i was very mad and kept reminding them that we are still waiting for our room and we finally received the keys to our room at 4.30pm even though they tell you the latest guaranteed time is 4pm. Also be aware of the AC noise in the rooms. Loudest noise i have ever heard from AC. We couldn’t turn it off and called reception for help. They told us how to do it but the AC would turn on every 10 minutes. We basically couldn’t sleep the whole night and got cold the next day. When i shared our experience with the receptionist the next day, they didn’t even listen and just said ohh i am sorry for your experience! I wouldn’t stay in this hotel if you want a peaceful and relaxing experience. The location was good. "

"Well my room was really dated. The colour of paint was really dark. The fireplace was absolutely beautiful. The bed was extremely comfy. The Jaquzi is amazing. Just found it was expensive for what u got. "

"AWesome staff! Cleaning ladies were great but the hotel needs an renocation. Perfect location. Spacios rooms. Just needs to have an update. Also, kids were taking over the gym. Not great or safe"
