"Great location, but since we last stayed here nine years ago, the hotel has definitely gone downhill. Everything appears worn. Our room was surficially clean but smelled damp when we left for a while and returned. The mattress had a funky musky smell. The TV dated to the early 2000s and had a terrible picture. The wall plug sockets were so worn that any cord you tried to plug in fell right out of the wall. The toilet paper was industrial grade and so rough made my butt bleed.
The general noise level in the hotel at all hours was high, with guest clomping along in their ski boots in the hall and shouting at each other no matter the hour.
The automatic garage door opener was right under our room and was running almost continuously during the day and until after midnight, making a lot of noise in all three of the rooms we rented. The lobby is woefully cold, uncomfortable and is not a nice place to hang out.
On the good side, the parking was secure and dry, and it was easy to get a space at all times. The staff were friendly and helpful. "
"Excellent hotel, service and staff, full spa with delightful outside swimming pool and jacuzzi, good restaurant, and the location is perfect, steps away from the village and main lifts. Convenient if a little expensive valet parking. Kitchen in our unit was fully functional. I will stay there again if I’m back in Whistler."
"This hotel is great. A great value and the location is only beaten by a few more expensive hotels. Lovely staff all you need is here. My only warning is that we booked a family loft which is overall great with kitchen and eating area. It was for myself and 18 year old daughter. The sleeper sofa is not a good one and probably only good for 10-13 year olds and below. So my daughter slept with me as the sleeper sofa has no support and hurt her back. Other than that great gas fireplace with sauna in unit and close to everything. I would sta here again just do something different bed wise rather than sleeper sofa. "
"Right in the center of the village! We enjoyed the nespresso unit in the room, and housekeeping kept us stocked with pods. All staff were wonderful. We used the hot tub and sauna each day. Look for the ski valet under the pop-up tent when you return to hotel after skiing. They take your skis for overnight storage. The lobby entry does NOT face into the village, it can be hard to find if you are arriving by bus. We made the mistake of pulling bags through the village. Lots of great restaurants in easy walking distance. And easy walking to the gondolas. Would definitely stay again. The apres offerings in the lobby were fun, and the drying room was great for damp boots and gloves. Crystal Lodge has all the right amenities for the skier!"
"We had a really great stay at the Pinnacle. Amazing value. Small kitchen with the basic necessities so we could make our own meals. The marketplace with a grocery store within walking distance for a few groceries we couldn’t transport in our drive up. Hot tub was so welcome after a day on the mountain and the younger members of our group enjoyed the heated outdoor pool. The big tub in the main area was kinda funny but also a hit for the younger members. Didn’t use the jets. We could walk back from the bottom of the Whistler gondola to the Pinnacle as we didn’t mind the 5-10 min walk in our boots. Friendly, helpful staff! Would stay again for sure. "
